Quick tips
Chemical powder fire extinguishers (type ABC) must refilled every 6 years, and tested hydrostatically every 12 years.
Class K (mostly used in kitchens), CO2 (carbon dioxide) and water pressurized fire extinguishers must be tested every 5 years.
All extinguishers must be installed in an easily accessible location, in sight and at eye level (about 4-5 feet from the floor, and no lower than 4 inches off the ground for bigger ones).
Exit signs must be turned on 24/7.
Emergency lights batteries should work for a minimum of 30 minutes, and be tested every 12 months.
